I asked my very great friend Lucille Petty to collaborate with me on this poem because I feel like she would understand this the most, as we have both lost people we care about to suicide.
I've tried to write a poem that I like about my friend for YEARS and this is the first time I've been happy with the outcome.
The music is haunting and brings panic and pain, and that's exactly how I feel when I think about how I can't articulate how horrible I feel about losing somebody to suicide.
There's nothing pretty about suffering with the aftermath of losing somebody wonderful.
This is the title track because I feel the strongest about this subject.
